Pine Grove Baptist Church
Current News and Activities ~ September 5th, 2010
Welcome:
We are so glad when visitors and guests come to worship with us. We want each one of you to know you are welcome and wanted at our church. We have made room for you and encourage you to come and be with us as often as you can. We would like to extend a special invitation to each of you to come next Sunday and be with us in our Homecoming Service. Written records of our church go back to 1904. If you use that as our church's beginning date, it is 106 years old.
Sunday, September 5th at 11:00 am - Morning Worship Service
Nursery provided for ages 0 - 3 years
Sunday School Lesson
This lesson helps adults understand the value of knowing what they believe and being able to explain it with confidence in any situation. Look for these truths.
(1.) Believers never are really ready to be effective witnesses or defenders of their faith until they have placed Jesus first in their lives and begin to follow Him in total trust and obedience, even in times of unjust suffering.
(2.) In an unbelieving world, we must look for opportunities to share Christ, take advantage of them when they come, and articulate our beliefs as effectively as possible
(3.) If we demonstrate unusual hope in the face of difficult circumstances, people will find that hope attractive.
Thanks to all who came to Sunday School. Remember we will not have Sunday School next Sunday. Our Homecoming service will begin at 10:30 am.
The nursery is open during the morning worship service. It is located in the Sunday School area near the water fountain, the last room on the left before you go into our fellowship center. If you should need assistance, please contact one of the ushers. Rene Evans is in charge of the nursery today.
